Preliminary Task

On Monday, we were told that we had to do a preliminary task set by the exam board. The brief was to shoot a scene with somebody walking through a doorway and having a conversation with someone. I was with Jake, Ben and Bill and we thought that we could add humour to the very simple brief. We had a quick brainstorm and decided that it would be hilarious to have two guys looking and acting like 'hard-core' gangsters and have them trade something ridiculous. We ended up, due to the fact that Jake was starving and pulled out a roll from his bag, having a secret sandwich deal going on in a small cupboard.

I'm not sure why the footage is wavy, though it might be because we accidently could have put the wrong setting on Premiere Pro. We tried to use lots of different types of shot and we thought that by removing the colour and having just black and white footage, we would be reminiscent of old gangster films. The kiss on the cheek at the end was a very random idea which I think adds humour.
